The lesson starts by presentation of the TL through guided discovery with a reading task in the context of travelling and journeys and will progress from controlled exercises to a freer speaking activity.

Finally, students are engaged in a discussion about some <b>past</b> events in their lives as a freer practice in the target language.

-In this lesson , students will be introduced to the <b>past</b> <b>simple</b> tense. more specifically the irregular form. The lesson will be focused on providing them with the meaning , form and pronounciation of some irregular verbs and providing some controlled and semi controlled practise .

Ss might already have been exposed to the <b>past</b> <b>simple</b> tense before, so this lesson is a review for the <b>past</b> <b>simple</b> tense using irregular verbs in the context of celebrations. The lesson starts with a review of the TL focussing on meaning, form and pronunciation, followed by a controlled practice and a semi-controlled practice allowing Ss to practice their speaking fluency using the TL.
