In this lesson, Ss learn about <b>past</b> continuous through guided discovery based on a reading text about a historic moment in the <b>past</b>. Ss will also have a speaking task for their freer practice about finding the murderer.



Intermediate level

In this lesson, students learn about the <b>Past</b> <b>Simple</b> and <b>Past</b> Continuous Tenses through guided discovery based on questions about their memories. The lesson begins with a discussion how well your memory is. This is followed by snappy questions, where students read and relate questions about their memories and listening activities to back up the tenses. In the end, there is some controlled through sentence reformulation and free practice via workbook.


TP 5

Intermediate. level

This lesson focuses on the use of <b>past</b> <b>simple</b> and <b>past</b> continuous tense. It starts with the lead-in to access Ss ability of the target language. Through guided discovery Ss can complete the grammar exercise 1 and 2. Followed by a speaking activity for Ss to produce the target language and develop speaking fluency. Delayed error correction will be the last stage to show Ss certain mistakes and how to improve their skills.

Intermediate level

In the lesson, students will be introduced to the meaning and form of <b>past</b> <b>simple</b> and <b>past</b> continuous through a guided discovery based on a listening about 3 people discussing their <b>past</b> experiences with an interviewer. The lesson starts with 3 pictures sticking to WB. These are the 3 people who will talk in the listening. There is some controlled practice followed by semi-controlled practice.

In this lesson students will learn how to use <b>past</b> continuous in the context of embarrassing situations and behaviour. They will also learn about interrupted <b>past</b> continuous.This will be done through a range of grammatical exercises and activities.
