Teaching Practice 3a - Speaking & Reading
To read a text on parties to confirm predictions.
To use contextual clues to identify topic - specific vocabulary.
Procedure (28-42 minutes)
I will ask them a questions about parties they have attended before. and what was the occasion and make them into pairs to talk about this issue
I will dive them into groups and each group has a name. I will ask them to imagine that they are responsible for making a particular party after a week. I will ask them to make a list about what they are supposed to do to make it a good party. After they finish, i will ask them to scan the text and find out how many of their ideas are mentioned. Will they need th other ideas?
I will ask the learners to work in pairs to find the words in the article to complete the sentences. I will circle round the students in case one of them asks or seems to don't know the meaning of any word.
For sure most of the students have thrown different kinds of parties, so İ will ask the students in pairs to talk about their own experiences. After that, I will ask every learner to talk about his/her partner experience.
