Description

The lesson starts with a spidergram on WB. The students learn about transitive and intransitive phrasal verbs. They read a text about festivals. They will scan the text and answer some questions about the text.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • Students participation to create a spidergram.

I will write ''party'' in a circle and ask students to call out some words they know that are associated with the word ''party''. After we finish the activity ,I will ask them what is Spidergram?I will explain Spidergram is where you group the words and advice them to use it for vocabulary.

Pre-reading (5-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text

Question n1. Who likes festivals? -Raise your hand. Do you know some festivals? (Make him/her to participate in asnwering some questions written on HO.) It is a pair work. While you write the questions on WB make them talk about the festival they know btw eachother. Attention: Ask them if they are finished with WB

While reading (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging specific information reading

Chest the HO. Give them some minutes to read and answer the questions written on the paper. Advice them to scan for the specific information. How to deal with any lingering vocabulary questions? Let them answer those questions.

While-Reading (5-10 minutes) • To provide students with some Vocabulary&Grammar.

Start with a short warm up. Give the the flashcards first. Now i am going to sing a song and you will all join in. Do you think you can keep up with me? Yes or no? See if they get the meaning. The bomb goes off,all the people die. When the bomb went off,all the people died. , (We are going to repeat this sentence to make them understand the meaning.) I will make them match them with the meaning before i go into the ''match with the meaning activity'' on the paper. The bomb goes off,all the people die. The bomb went off,all the people died. (Drilling) Ask them to put the flashcards on WB and make some assumption about the meaning. They will come and write under the flashcard on WB.

Post-Reading (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text

Make clear No object-Intransitive The bomb goes off Join me in singing. Object -Transitive-Seperable Lets put on a good party. Dress them up.
