Description

During lesson Ss will practise they speaking skills referred to functional language. Ss will do exercises that will improve their language skills. They will talk about shopping on the your local market. They will use question forms : How much is this/are these What size is/are this/these. Ss will practise conversation using real objects.

Main Aims

  • To provide speaking practice in a Converstation in pairs/ Dialogs in the context of Shopping on the local market

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a Dialogs in the context of on the market

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher swill put on table different things such as : coat, jumper, bag, cup, plate ,t-shirts, watches, pens, toy cars, shoes) T will ask Ss a question : What is this? T will use method ECWDS and write words on the board.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T will draw on the WB columns This is………/These are….. T will write 1 example on the WB and put noun into correct column. This is a bag, a jumper, a coat, a cup, a plate. These are pens, watches, shoes, T-shirts, cars . T will ask students to work in pairs a write on the board words. T will ask students to correct their own mistakes

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T will ask students to do exercises no 1 ‘’ Match the question of the answers’’ in pairs. WC Feedback . T will try to elicit the adjectives medium, small, large thanks to self prepared materials. ( picture of different size of T-shirts). T will ask to change the places but still work in pairs. T will give to Ss handout ‘’ Add words in the gaps’’ . T might do ! example on the WB. WC feedback.

Productive Task(s) (10-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T will give to SS materials with question : How much is this…. How much are these…. What size is this….. What size are these….. After reading them T will ask Ss to come close to the table and practise with real things.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Write mistakes that you have heard on the WB ask students to correct them in pairs on the WB.
