Description

In this lesson Ss will learn both negative and positive forms of verbs have and has,as well as question form.As a lead-in T will review words in terms of technology and then T will focus on positive form of verbs have and has and Ss will follow the instructions.Next T will cover the question form as well.Finally Ss will work in pairs to practice more of the subject.

Main Aims

  • To present and practice the present simple positive and negative form of the verb 'have' in the context of technology

Subsidiary Aims

  • To give sts some speaking practice for accuracy

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To review the vocabulary in terms of technology

T will show pictures of different devices as well as some real objects in the classroom.and elicit the words from students.

Intro to grammar (8-10 minutes) • To teach Ss how to use positive form of have for all the pronouns

T will demonstrate her own possession and elicit the verb 'have' from Ss.Then T will move on to Ss for using the verb 'has'.After that T will stick some small cards on the board and ask Ss to use a proper verb related to the pronouns.

Practice of grammer via gap-fill (2-0 minutes) • To check Ss understanding of positive form of verb 'have' for all the pronouns

T will write some sentences on the board with gaps and ask Ss to complete them.

Negative form of verb 'have' (10-12 minutes) • To teach how to use negative form of verb 'have' as well as the positive form

T will show Ss a Smiley face and a sad one and keep them above her head,then give Ss examples of her own possession and then T will move on other students to make sure if they get the meaning of it.After that T will write some information about the negative form on the board and again elicit it from Ss.Then T will show students how to do the HO by giving an example and then ask Ss to work in pairs.T will ask Ss to check the answers with their partner and want a few of Ss to read the sentences.

How to make questions with do/does (10-12 minutes) • To teach Ss how to ask eachother questions

T will show the question mark to everybody in the class and then stick a picture of a family on the board and explain they have a dog.Then T will stick another photo and explain Alice has a cat.T will match the pictures together and then T will ask Ss do they have a cat?T will try to elicit it from students and then T will move on the next picture and will do the same.then T will ask one S to come to the board and they will try to do the survey together.Ss must follow the instruction and T will ask Ss to mingle and ask questions based on the survey and write the name of their partner. Finally T will check their understanding by asking Ss to question other Ss when the mingling is done.

game (5-6 minutes) • To practice more of verb 'have' both negarive and positive form and question form of it

T will give Ss some pictures and ask Ss to show them to eachother.Ss will make question based on the pictures.T will give the instruction before the game
