Main Aims

  • To make sts get the meaning form and pronunciation of the quantifiers, countable &uncountable nouns

Subsidiary Aims

  • Reviewing countable and uncountable nouns with the help of the gap filling activities, slides and some group discussions

Procedure

Lead-in • To make my lesson connected with the previous one and also get the students familiar with countable/uncountable nouns.

i'm going to say some false expressions (including countable uncountable nouns) about the previous text so as to remind them the context, vocabulary .

Clarification • To make the students realized how and where to use the quantifiers

I'll show the students some slides including some sentences and pictures -related to the context- and try to make them get the realization of the countable/uncountable nouns and quantifiers with the help of these pictures and peer discussions.

Practice • To make the students review what they've just got with some gap-filling and matching exercises

i'll give them handouts of gap filling exercises they first fill in the gaps and then match the sentences as pairs then they will change their seats and see the others' answers so as to provide a peer tutoring or correction maybe. And finally they'll check for the answers as WC.

Production • To provide students use what they've just got

They will be given with some sheet of paper with only numbers and the instruction on it. They will write 3 sentences about their town by using the quantifiers. Then i'm going to want a pair checking&discussions and sharing their ideas.
