Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The Ss will have a competition in groups. They will have to find some pairs of opposite adjectives in 2 minutes. The group that finds the most will be announced the winner.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

The Ss will use some of the adjectives from the warmer to connect them to some pictures and write sentences attempting to describe the differences.

Teach (12-14 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

The students will check their answers in pairs and some will write their sentences on the board and explain WHY they used certain structures. It will be written on the board the rules that students must follow when comparing two objects. The students will write on the board some of the adjectives they used in the warmer into the appropriate column that represents its grammar rule.

Test #2 (6-8 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

The students will complete a gap-filling exercise where they will have to write the appropriate form of the adjectives. They will check in pairs and they will receive the right answers.

Free practice (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The Ss will get some pictures, and they will have to talk in groups about the differences between some shops.
