Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this Stage. S.s will try to predict the meaning of new vocabulary by themselves in the beginning of the lesson. The teacher will put some pictures on board and make S.s in two groups. The teacher gives S.s nouns with pronunciations in pieces of paper. And ask them to match each noun to the appropriate picture. After they finish, the teacher checks their answers and give S.s remedial feedback for any difficulties when appropriate.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the listening and make it accessible

S.s will discuss together about last time they felt any of these health issues, what happened and their actions on that time, E.g "They felt stomachache because they ate bad food or got a headache because they didn't sleep and so on ". After that the teacher will take feedback from S.s randomly about information they got from their mates. This exercise will help S.s to prepare for the context and activate their schemata with any relevant information about the topic from the past. As a preparation for Ex.1. The teacher will ask S.s to look at the picture in the material and guess together who the people are and think what they are talking about.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

In this stage, Through Ex.1 and Ex.2 S.s will listen for gist as they will listen to tick sentences they will hear in the audio and put sentences in order. through each exercise S.s will check their answers in pairs and in groups. I.C.Qs and C.C.Qs will be done through the two exercises. At the end of each exercise the teacher will Give S.s feedback as a whole class.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

In this stage S.s will listen for details. S.s in Ex.3 will try to match words to make phrases. they will not listen to record at the beginning in order to find out what they already remember. After that S.s check in pairs their answer and teacher give them feedback. S.s will listen for the record again part by part to answer true or false questions. The teacher give them F.B as Teacher-student randomly and as whole-class at the end.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

In this Stage S.s will discuss in pairs some (Wh) questions wrote by the teacher that is considered to be a freer-practice exercise to make S.s speak about their experience with any kind of these health issues, what S.s felt exactly and what will they do in a specific situations? the teacher will divide S.s into two groups and give each group three questions and ask them to discuss together. The teacher Give S.s F.B randomly between the two groups a student from here to say what his/her mate told him and the same with the other group. This exercise is a good way to merge new vocabulary they learnt in the class and activating their schemata with any relevant knowledge related to the context. after that the teacher make a small whole-class activity as an open conversation and end the lesson with it
