Description

The students in this elementary class will learn about possessive pronouns. They will learn how to use these possessive pronouns in correct sentences and they will practice pronunciation in using them .

Procedure

Warmer\ Lead-in (7-8 minutes) • Set the context

Explain 'Whose' word and the Possessive pronouns: - I start with eliciting the word 'whose', and I put it in a sentence like 'whose pen is it?'

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • explaining the grammatical rule

Giving examples (7-8 minutes) • provide clarification about possessive pronouns with examples

- i will give instructions to the next exercise 'faces' and students will rearrange pictures and guess 'whose face is this'. Students will match the two halves of the picture. -

task 1 exer. 1 (5-6 minutes) • this exercise will enhance their understanding of the possessive pronouns.

- I will show the handouts to the students. - I will elicit that the students will chose one correct word from two (correct \ in correct) words. - Students will choose the correct word to complete the sentences - students will work in pairs on this exercise.

task 2 exer. 2 (5-6 minutes) • to make students practice on possessive pronouns

in this exercise students will choose or tick on correct sentence from two. this exercise will help the teacher to better know if the Ss did understand the grammar lesson or if they need further explanation.

task 3 , exer.3 (7-8 minutes) • poem

- i will give the instructions of the poem and ask students to write down the 4 lines poem. - in this exercise the students will be introduced to a poem that they will repeat many times until it becomes easy to them. After that students will change the personal pronoun in the first line and the will change the possessive pronouns in the following lines accordingly.
