Procedure

Warmer (3-4 minutes) • To engage students

I will write on the whiteboard a proverb from the book which will help me introduce the general topic of the text.

Pre-reading stage (3-4 minutes) • To add to understanding of the topic and slowly getting in.

I will write some vocabulary which are directly linked to the topic we will be reading a discussing, in order to prepare the students to have an idea of what nature the text is really.

While-Reading Section (4-5 minutes) • Students find specific information in order to have themselves involve more into the topic, and then they start reading for gist.

They will be told to scan the text for 10 seconds in order to get a specific information which later will involve students more into the topic (text) of the text they are about to read and get the general idea from the text. After that they read a different text which will actually open way to post-reading stage.

Post-Read = Speaking Section (8-10 minutes) • Get the students to use the language by discussing the information from the text.

Engage students into discussion about a specific information from the text. They will discuss and then get feedback. After that they will ask each-other a question about themselves and they will have a conversation there, ending the lesson by further discussion about the people from the text. . I will give the students a hand-out of some words to match as a conclusion to the lesson by ensuring they get a repetition of the most difficult vocabulary.
