Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- I am going to follow ECDW segments to elicit the TL.

Controlled Practice (3-8 minutes) • To prepare students for more meaningful practice

- I am going to give each student a copy of the picture of the park and activity cards. I am going to tell the students read the cards, write the person's name or the people's name in the correct gap on the picture. - As a second controlled activity, SS are going to have a crossword puzzle activity. They are going to have a big chance to use TL clearly. -They are going to have an AK to see the correct answers.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-12 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

- The SS are going to play a game which is "Guess who". They are going to use Present Continuous Yes/No questions to guess who their partner is thinking about. - I am going to divide the SS into pairs and give each student a copy of the HO. - I am going to demo and tell the class that I am thinking of one of the people on the HO. - Have the students ask you Present Continuous Yes/No questions to try to find out which person I am thinking about. - I will tell them they can ask up to five questions each other and then they must guess who the person is. -As a second semi-controlled activity, the SS will have an activity which is called "What's going on?". - The SS will be put in the small groups. - A HO ( it is a picture and it includes many pictures) will be given to the SS. They are going to write down all the sentences they can think of to describe what's going on in the picture. - The groups will have four minutes to do this. Then they are going to share ideas orally in the full class.

Free Practice (8-12 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

- I am going to give a simple instruction. - The SS are going to have a speaking activity which is called "Look Around". - I am going to ask to the SS "What is happening all around you?".I will have my class make observations about the world around them using the TL. The SS can look around the classroom or out of the window and describe what people are doing. -As a second freer activity, the SS will have "Role Play". -I will organize the SS as a pair. One of them will be at home and the other will be at work. They will create their action by using TL.

Additional Activity (1-3 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

- I am going to give a HO to the SS. - They are going to have miming game and they will try to guess what they are doing.
