Warmer/Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In order to set the context of the lesson and try to make a typically boring subject, daily routines, a little more interesting by way of showing a humorous video clip from a Mr. Bean episode.

Useful Language (10-12 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Continuing on from the video clip I will ask the class which things they would normally do in a morning. (eg. get a shower) I will elicit some present simple sentences from them along with some words. I will then refer to the image on slide 2 of the presentation and ask them which objects are present, they will begin working in pairs and then give examples as a whole class. If any words are mispronounced I will drill that word to try and correct it.

Speaking Practice in groups (30-35 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice speaking in small groups by way of a controlled exercise.

Activity 1: The students will be given the "I think that you..." Activity 2: The students will get into pairs (different ones) and then be told either one or two, the number one students will be given the image of room 1 and the two students will be given the image of room 2, they will then have to explain to their partner what is present in their room and the other student will draw it in. Activity 3: I will put the students into groups of 3, The first person will tell the other two what they do each morning (doesn't have to be real) upon completion of this, the second student must now tell the 3rd student what the first student does in a morning. Go round the group and repeat until everyone has had ago at both first and third person speaking.
