Description

The lesson is taken from pre-intermediate Cutting Edge book p. 26. In this lesson, students will be exposed to the form and use of should and shouldn`t in the context of a messy room.I have escaped some parts of the original book page, because of the students' level. The lesson is divided into 7 stages which are: 1- Lead in stage, which will generate students' interest in the topic by asking them set of questions related to the appearance of their rooms. 2- Pre-teach vocabulary stage that will introduce a set of Lexis related to the context of the messy room. 3- Exposure stage: will provide context for the target language through a set of sentences. 4- Highlighting stage:will draw students' attention to the target language using guided discovery task. 5- Clarification stage: will clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation by using power point presentation and drilling. 6- Controlled practice stage: will check students understanding using gap-filling activity. 7- Free practice: will provide freer practice of language by asking students to work in groups to give Tom advice.
