Description

This lesson is about vocabulary and problems that are related to phones, in this lesson students will be introduced to the proper phone register, also they will be asked to talk about some of the problems that they face in regard to using phones. First students will be required to answer some questions that are related to phones, then they will fill in some gaps using some phone words/ phrases.After that, the students will answer a listening exercise that is followed by a role play.

Main Aims

  • At the end of the lesson students will be able to know some phoning vocabulary.

Subsidiary Aims

  • Students will listen for specific details.

Procedure

A warmer (3-5 minutes) • to let the student discover the title of the lesson

I will write The title by breaking the sentences randomly . then I will let the students work out the name by themselves.

Fill in the gap (8-10 minutes) • to introduce the students to our lesson aim

Students will be handed a fill in the gap task and they will be asked to answer them, according to his \her background knowledge or her understanding of meanings.

running dictation activity (5 minutes) • to let the students know some meaning of the new vocabulary.s

Students will be divided into two teams, each team will choose their own writer and the others will dictate him. The first team who finishes first will be the winner.

Fill in the gap (5 minutes) • To check their understanding and also to let them know the meaning of some new vocabulary.

students will be giving a worksheet, the worksheet contains 10 bubbles, each bubble has a meaning that needs a telephone phrase .they will be asked to put each phrase on the right bubble.

listening (5 minutes) • to inroduce the students to the problems that might happen on phone

students will listen to an audio and they will answer some questions.

matching activity (5 minutes) • to let them practice some vocabulary that are related to problems on phone.

before the last stage in this lesson the students will be asked to match the phone phrases in order to complete the sentences .

role play (10 minutes)

This will be the last stage I the lesson, students will work in groups of two to act out a role play. This role play was adapted from face2face student's book page 62.
