Description

In this lesson, students will learn about shopping based on listning context, about what shop assistant say. The lesson starts with activity about clothes, I will use the white board and realia as a materials, at the end of the lesson they will have gap-filling activity

Main Aims

  • By the end of the lesson the students will be able to make conversation with shop assistant, and learn a new vocabulary about shopping.

Subsidiary Aims

  • By the end of the lesson, students will develop listening sub-skill for specific information.

Procedure

warmer. (3-5 minutes) • To break the ice.

-Divided the class in two teams. -Each team are going to make a line and stand next to the board. -The first student stands in the line and hold the marker and get ready. -when I say (go) they have to start and write a list of clothes . - every one has to write one word, then pass it to the next one in the line.

Lead-in (5 minutes) • to introduce the topic

-Teacher is going to show pictures in shopping center to the students . -Ask students what they can see in the pictures and write it down.

pre-listening (5 minutes) • to prepare students to listen to the CD

-Teacher is going to show the students pictures and realia related to the lesson to clarify the meaning. -Student are going to do drilling to practice the stress of words.

listening (10 minutes) • to improve their listening skill

-Students are going to listen to a conversation in a shop, and find the answer from the CD while he listening.

controlled activity (5 minutes) • to practice scanning

- after listening, students are going to put sentence on order.

- Students are going to listen to the conversation again. - students are going to fill the gaps.

controlled activity (5 minutes) • to reinforce what was taught

free activity (5 minutes) • to check understanding

-Teacher is going to give students pictures about shop assistant . - students are going to work in pairs and guess what assistant and customer are saying.
