Warmer/Lead-in (7-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I am going to show pictures to the ss of: Moonwalk Superman Post Office Six-pack and want the ss to guess the names to the pictures WC FB ( What is this?) after the ss give answers I am going to write the names at the bottom of the pictures and state that these kind of words are called the compound nouns which are made up of adj/noun+noun here and they are used for giving a new name for stuff (5 min.) (CQ: Do these words consist of 2 words? ) Afterwards, I am going to put the ss into 2 groups and ask them to go near to the post-its I've prepared beforehand which are sticked on the wall and match them together (3 min)(the wall will be divided into 2, there will be the same compound nouns for each group) while the ss are discussing I will divide the board into 2 and draw a score table. I will make sure each group has at least one stronger s. after 3 min I will get FB from each group.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation and spelling of the target language

I will give the ss A handout about matching the forms with the words and as them to work in pairs and put the compound nouns of the post-it activity shown in the pictures I will show the possible forms of the compound nouns making the ss use the examples in the post-it matching activity: I will nominate the ss to come to the board and write the matching compound nouns to the right forms. My aim is to make sure the ss do the spelling correctly. After correcting the spelling mistakes and demonstrating that CNs can be written as 2 words, one word, or a hyphen in the middle. I will focus on pronunciation and word stress next and make the ss one by one practice the words on the board and lastly whole class echoes. Lastly I will state with a demonstration that although they are in the same form, the compound nouns are different from the normal ones as the two words are used to give a name to sth.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I am going to ask the students to work in pairs and look at the pictures on pg. 47, try to name them. (2 Name the objects in the pictures?) (2min) I will ask WC FB on this and I won't confirm the answers yet and move on to the matching activity which they are going to do it in pairs.(3 min). I will ask WC FB and I wil match them quickly on the reflection on board.

Free Practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I will ask the students first to think individually (Imagine that you are going to travel to Macchu Piccu, you can only take 6 objects with you from the pictures below because you are going to walk a lot.) write your own choices (2min) Now work in pairs and decide again, agree on the 6 objects you are going to take with you and write them down.This will be your common decision. (3min) Now work in 2 groups and again discuss and agree on the 6 items you are going to take with you. This will be your common decision. (3min) I wil ask WC FB for their opinions.
