In this lesson students will work on their productive skills (Speaking). Students will try to build a communication through expressing opinions. The used grammar will be "It's + adj"


Main Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of methods of communication and express opinions

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice of expressing opinion in the context of different situations in daily life
  • To provide practice of he "It's+adj+ infinitive/ing form/question words in the context of expressing opinions


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher will talk to Students and aske which activities they do , they enjoy or dont enjoy doing that.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

The grammar of "it's+ad+ing form/infinitive/question words" will be taught by explaining the differences and negative forms, then the students will complete the exercise 1. and work on that y trying to change the grammar parts and make the sentences negative. Students will work on this task first individually and then will check the answers with their partners for the first part and then will work on the second part in group work.

Task (8-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Students will do the exercise 2 (jumbled sentences) individually check with partners. Students will read the unjumbled sentences and talk in pairs to say if they agree or disagree. They should give reasons to say why or why not. related language (I don't agree/I disagree - I think so/I don't think so) will be written on the board and clarified.

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

Students will work on ex.3-4 by deciding which activity is a waste of time in each group. They will add an activity to each category. In groups of three students will discuss to find 3 things that they disagree and give the reason.

Language Analysis (4-5 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language

Extra activity (4-7 minutes) • practice the language

students will play a game with opinion and topic cards in order to practice the language
