Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

will display a picture of him n the OHP. T tells Ss that it was his last journey to Hurghada and Red Sea in Egypt. T gets Ss to talk about what they did on their last holidays in pairs .

Test #1 Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

T tel Ss that they will have an exercise on Past perfect .Ss will answer the exercise in two stages a- write the correct verb form b- number the events which happened first eg: . Teacher gets Ss to answer the exercise by writing the correct verb form. Ss work solo then check in pairs . T monitors taking notes.T gives answer keys fro Ss to check their answers to prepare them for the next stage.

Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Controlled Practice (4-6 minutes) • Check Ss understanding of the meaning and usage

Test #2 (10-15 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

T gets Ss to answer the second test . Ss work solo then PW. T writes notes and waits for the Ss to finish the activity . T provides Hot correction if needed.T shows the common error and corrects them . T praises the good work and gives students answer keys.

controlled practice -Speaking Anecdote (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with freer practice of the target language

If time .Ss listen to an anecdote . Ss listen to the model and and the check if the answers are correct or wrong. Ss check in pairs Then Ss listen again . T gives them the answer key.

Freer practice -Speaking (10-15 minutes) • Ss can ask/ answer questions about a journey they have been on .

T asks Ss to work in pairs Ss use the questions in the previous exercise and work in pairs. T goes around the class.T monitors and provides hot correction when needed and saves the delayed feedback for the WC Error correction on the WB. T praises the good work and giv delayed feedback
