Procedure

Stage 1 - Lead in (3-5 minutes) • to elicit answer from the Ss by showing them a picture

T shows Ppt (Japanese woman) Ss guess 'Where does she come from' T tries to elicit the correct answer

Stage 2 - Warmer (3-5 minutes) • to elicit what they know about Andrew and fill in the gaps

Ss read (Andrew HO) and complete HO (gap-fill) Ss compare and peer check the answers

Stage 3 - review and introduce negative, positive and question (5-10 minutes) • to model third person -s with positive, negative and question forms

T shows present forms of negative and interrogative third person -s T wants Ss to read them aloud T give little pieces of papers T wants Ss to ask and answer the questions

Stage 4 - Model and Drill (3-5 minutes) • to reinforce the structure's usage

T models and drills third person -s Ss choral drill T drills negative and question forms (backchain)

Stage 5 - Practice (5-7 minutes) • to practice interrogative structures and question

T gives HO Ss read and complete Ss listen the answers from 2.6 Ss compare and peer check T provides FB

Stage 6 - Follow up (10-15 minutes) • further practice of the structures with a mingling game
