This session the students are going to learn some frequently used vocabularies of groceries and other things,along with their quantifiers. They will also work on their pronunare used together ciations when they are used together and linked.

Main Aims

  • Firstly,I have to present the words.Through the receptive skill,they are going to understand the vocabularies and thenreview them in the real context,pictures,and finally by controlled practice they are going to use them in the games set for them.As the sub skill they will improve their pronunciations,as well.

Subsidiary Aims

  • They are going to learn some vocabularies.They are the most frequently used words because you can find the stuff in every bodies' shopping basket.I have to teach the quantifiers along with nouns.


Warmer/Lead-in (5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

After greeting with students,I will show them the picture of a shopping basket.I'll ask them what they can see inside.

Exposure (10-15 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will set a game for them to compete in two groups,and ask them to stick the names to the relevant pictures

Highlighting (5-10 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Doing Exercise1 and asking them to stick the pictures in the related quantifier column

Clarification (10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I'll give them the HOs with circles on them and ask them to fill in the blank circles Then we will do the pronunciation drill

Controlled Practice (5-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I'll ask them some questions from the basket or other pictures

Semi-Controlled Practice (5 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

We will do the EX2 about the pronunciation drill after listening to the audio file.

Free Practice (5 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

If we have enough time , I'll ask them to talk together about what they are going to buy this evening and write about it.
