Description

In this lesson, students learn to distinguish different foods that they consume on a daily basis. Students will learn the distribution of food through activities and videos.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Talk with the student about some foods that are on the plate of good eating. Talk about their classification, which are fruits, vegetables, cereals, legumes, animal meat foods.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Share with the students a copy in which images of different foods and their classification are observed. The students will try to write their name correctly or whatever they think it is called and classify it where they think it should be placed (Fruits and vegetables, cereals, legumes and foods of animal origin).

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Present by means of cardboard the correct classification of each food (Just pronounce them and ask to repeat with me).

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Place the correctly spelled name under each food image. After that, ask each student to correct if they wrote any wrong food or place a little check mark if it is correct.

Free practice (12-13 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Ask the student to pronounce aloud each food that was observed in the following flashcards.
