Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Play a song with students in relation to family members

Exposure (5-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Post the video in the classroom, to repeat the phrases found in the video to reinforce speaking

Highlighting (1-2 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Show flashcards to the students, in relation to the video previously seen.

Clarification (5-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Use the flashcards to resume the pronunciation of key words to establish a conversation with others

Controlled Practice (5-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Ask students to individually read their work done in the previous class (their family tree with description)

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Place the students in pairs, so that among themselves, they carry out a conversation among themselves to make known about the members of their family, and in this way, they can correct themselves.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Put the students in teams so that now, among all of them, they share about their family through conversation trying to speak only the language in English
