Description

Identify the colors red, yellow, blue and purple, that the students identify and practice the pronunciation of the color.

Main Aims

  • To provide practice of colors words.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a colors words.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show the students the images next i wil ask them if they identify the colors but in English.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will write the names of the colors on the board for later. Then the students will choose where they think the colors goes accourding to sound and name

While-Reading/Listening #1 (5-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

They will paste it where they decide and believie it. I wil ask they to repeat the names after me three times.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-14 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I will correct the color so that they have them correctly with their names. Then we will all practice the song about colors together and i will show its illustration every time onne of them is mentioned.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will ask them one by showing them the color and they sill have to reading and say their name.
