Description

In this lesson, students will learn about identify themeselves while they practice the parts of the face.

Abc Flashcards

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification in the adjetives to the students.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide the students to know how describe their parts of the face.
  • To provide practice identifying parts of the face.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Greet students. Ask to the student if they know how are each part of their faces. Ask students to describe one of their part.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Provide to the students flascards that describe each part, for example My hair is brown. practice wwith the students the pronunciation

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Provide to the students one video that explain and describe the parts of the faces with adjetives.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Write in the blackboard the adjectives that we seing in the video and work in the part of pronunciation, also write the colors because they will going to be very important.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Ask to the students to write the words in their notebook in english and spanish.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Do an excercise to practice the adjectives, im goin to say My hair is... and theyre going to complete the phrase with the adjective.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Ask to the students that theyre going to do a self-portrait identifying their parts but they will going to do a draw with their face. Finally theyre going to describe one part of their face.
