Description

In this lesson, students learn the numbers from 1 to 20 about vocabulary and pronunciation. In this activity it is to practice writing the numbers 1-20. Students have to decipher the written numbers.

Main Aims

To provide listening practice using numbers

To provide vocabulary practice with numbers

Procedure (30-46 minutes)

Number (2-5 minutes) • To set lesson identify numbers from 1 to 20

Students will listen to a video of numbers from 1 to 20 and look at the cards that are on the board to identify them

Exposure (5-10 minutes) • To provide numbers across the activity

Activity on printed sheet from 1 to 20, the names of the numbers are cut out and pasted into the correct number

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Say the numbers out loud, so that the students pronounce it too

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Post the video of the numbers from 1 to 20, where the students will hear the numbers

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The numbers are placed on cards from 1 to 20 on the blackboard and the students will go on to put the name on cards

Free Practice (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The space will be left free for the students, so that they can say the numbers out loud, without seeing the notes, so that they can practice the numbers.
