Description

We will give them information about the parts of the face, such as eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth and ears, we will teach them at first asking if they know about the subject, then we will explain them through a visual material made of fomi that will show a child with his parts of the face with arrows, at the end I will give them a copy of a Child with the arrows of the parts of the face, but without their names and they will write them and copy them, at the end we will sing a song about the parts of the face.

Main Aims

  • To provide practice of parts of te face: nose, mouth, eyebrows, eyes and ears in the context of Parts of the face

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice of mouth, eyes, ears, eyebrowns, nose in the context of Parts of the face

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Explain to students that today we will learn about the parts of the face. Ask the students, do they know the names of the parts of the face, what are they?

Exposure (25-30 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks

We will start talking to the students about the parts of the face, using the visual material we will tell them, "here we have a boy, this boy's name is Diego. Diego has the names of the different parts of the body on his face", we will ask some students to come to the front and read some part of Diego's face and they will write down that part on his face. I will give them a copy where they will have to write down the parts of Diego's face already seen before, I will give them a few minutes to write down and then some of them will be asked to participate, to finish I will play a song about the parts of the face to give them feedback on what they have learned in class.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

The language or vocabulary I will use are the parts of the face, which are the following: eyes, eyebrows, nose, ears and mouth.

Feedback and Error Correction (3-5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Student feedback will be through a song, in which we will sing and write down the part of the face we are talking about.
