Geometric Figures

Description

In this lesson student learn about the geometric figures. Identify shapes and writing as well as listening their name. I will show four geometric figures (square, circle, rectangle and triangle). I will ask if they know them and mention their names. I will write the names of the shapes below their image. I will ask them to repeat and copy the names in the notebook.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show the students the four geometrics figures next i wil ask them if they know their names but in English.

Exposure (5-8 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

I will write the names of the figures on the board for later. Then the students will choose where they think the figure goes according to sound and name. They will paste it where they decide and believie it.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

I wil ask they to repeat the names after me three times. And then they will write it in their note book as a list. Then i will correct the figures so that they have them correctly with their names.

Productive Task(s) (5-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

We will all practice the song about geometric figures together and i will show its illustration every time onne of them is mentioned.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Then i will ask them one by showing them the figure and they sill have to say their name.
