Description

In this lesson students will learn how to talk about their best friend and the things that they like about their friend. And they will learn the parts of paragraph.

Main Aims

To provide students diagto diagnose the parts of the paragraph and learn how to write a paragraph by observing the parts of a paragraph that they will learn.

Subsidiary Aims

To provide students to know the parts of the paragraph in writing.

Procedure (19-30 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

At first I will talk about a story of mine which is related to the Topic and then ask students some questions which is related to the Topic.

Pre-Reading/Listening (4-6 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

In this stage I will show students a paragraph and then start teaching the parts of a paragraph.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (3-5 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

In this stage I will ask students to tell me the parts of a paragraph that I will show them.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (3-5 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

In this part I will give my students a practice which is related to the thing that I had teach them, and they have to order the sentences in a correct way and I will ask them to read the paragraph.

Post-Reading/Listening (5-8 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

In the end I will tell my students to write about their friend or relative , and make a list of what they like and the the reason that they like them. And they also have to observe the parts of a paragraph that they had learnt.
