Description

Ss learn about countable and uncountable nouns as well as some vocabulary. The topic chosen for the teacher is food but previously they learn about the order of the meal in the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Then students watch a video to complete some questions. Also, They complete some words missing in one of the activities and write about their favorite food for the three meals.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- Teacher explains how to play a memory card game. - Ss have to find 4 pictures with their respective words. - It takes us between 2 or 3 minutes.

Language input (8-10 minutes) • to provide students with a clear way to differentiate countable and uncountable nouns.

- T shows the order of meals during the day. - Ss develop the first activity that is to move some words to the right place. - T shows Ss a video where after that they have to complete 3 questions. - T and Ss complete the questions. - Ss have to complete some letters in the second activity according to each picture. - T explains information about the countable and uncountable nouns.

Give examples (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

- T shows students 3 questions that are connected to their picture . - Ss have to choose the correct answers.

Writing (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

- The teacher explains the writing that they have to make using some words of the vocabulary. - Ss work by themselves making writing about their favorite food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. - Ss work in pairs and exchange information.

Feedback (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

- T pays attention to any mistakes during the writing presentation. - T explains which is the right answer to reinforce the learning.
