In this lesson student learn some new vocabulary and speak by using them about some places the lesson started by discussion about shopping then know some new vocabulary then controlled practice finally freer practice

Main Aims

  • by the end of the lesson, student will have been better able to use some vocabulary it talks about shops and services

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide the student with the opportunity to practice speaking for fluency to talk about shops and services

Procedure

warmer (1-2 minutes)

T asks SS about their feeling today by using one word

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1-T gives ss these questions to discuss in pairs: 1- How often do you go shopping for clothes and shoes? 2-What is your favorite shop in your country ? 3-which kind of shop do you visit more ? 2- Give instruction 3-ICQ 4-model 5-content feedback

Test #1 (5-7 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

smooth transition: " now I need from you to match these pictures with words 1-Give instruction ; - work alone -you have 3 minutes - match pic with words 2-ICQ 3-conduct the whole class feedback by nominating some student to answer

Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

T highlights the MPF of difficult vocabulary An estate agent’s( N ) An optician’s ( N ) A pharmacy( N ) = chemist’s A hairdresser’s ( N ) barber( N ) cosmetics store ( N) Use CCQ, drill and check the form

Test #2 (5-7 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

1-T asks SS to complete the sentence: 2-Give instruction : - complete -work alone - you have 3 minutes 3-ICQ 4-Model 5-ask them check in pairs 6-ask student by nominating someone to answer

Free practice (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

now " imagine that you live in madenty T divides ss into 3 groups T asks ss to remember your color like ( red - blue - orange) T asks ss to stand up and make a circle with their team T shows ss the Q on the pc imagine that you live in madenty which shops and servise that you need alot , why and what do you buy from these places ? T monitors and helps the struggling ss T chooses ss to share there answer Feedback: -T starts the content feedback. -T praises ss and gives good use of the language they picked. -T writes some of the ss mistakes on the board and elicits how they should rectify them
