I will introduce them to today's topic which is describing people's characteristics. I will then have them describe a photo of a man I have selected. I will elicit the students to describe his face, his hair, his clothing, and how they think is personality might be.

Playing off of a different image of the same man, I will model for the students how to speak about / describe characteristics of a person. I will conduct a similar exercise for the students to perform using an image of a woman, along with a list of vocabulary to help the students talk about the woman. I will perform the ask again two more times with different images. The first time will be using the sentence form as the prior, only with a different character.
