in this lesson, student learn about things that make them feel guilty based on reading skill. the lesson start by discussion about life style. they followed by reading the article to know the main idea (gist ) then reading details and finally there are some question about what were they reading? and freer practice via a final group speaking activity.

Main Aims

  • By the end of the lesson, the ss will have practiced reading for details in the context of the myth that make you feel guilty

Subsidiary Aims

  • By the end of the lesson, the SS will have been practiced speaking for fluency in the context of “the myth that make you feel guilty ”.
  • By the end of the lesson, the SS will have developed an understanding of the CECDW of some vocabulary

Procedure

Warm up (1-2 minutes) • To push ss to speak

T asks ss general question about : what did they do on the feast ? Instructions: T gives them 30 seconds to think

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T asks ss general question about their lifestyle . T gives ss questions to discuss in pairs: How often do you do these things?? Go to bed early? Go to bed late? Play sports? Get stressed? Do exercise? Use the internet? give instruction : try to find things in common ICQ T monitors and provides ss with help if needed. T asks ss about common things.

Pre-Reading (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Setting the context T shows ss a video to make them get into the topic and these video between MR. healthy and MR. unhealthy and make them choose which one is so close to their lifestyle. then says the name of the topic. PTV uce picture, elicit the word, ues CCQ, drill and clarify the form ues CECDW vocabulary : blocked one like myth (n) grumpy(adj) addict (n) digital native (n)

While-Reading #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

GIST TASK T asks ss to read the article on p.10 T asks ss to read and complete the gaps on the article give instructions: -read quickly and complete -you have 3 mins to read and answer -work individually ICQ check in pairs Give them the answer key SPASIFIC TASK give instructions: -read the question in 1 min -read the article and answer these question from 5 to 7 mins -work individually ICQ check in pairs T checks with them

Post-Reading (3-5 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T divides ss into 3 groups T asks ss to remember your pet like ( cat - dog - turtle ) T asks ss to stand up and makes a circle with their team T shows ss the Q on the pc which paragraph you think is the most surprising and interesting. Give reasons for your answer. T monitors well and helps the struggling ss Feedback: -T starts the content feedback. -T praises ss and gives good use of the language they picked. -T writes some of the ss mistakes on the board and elicits how they should rectify them
