I will link my lesson to the previous one and before asking stundents to generate knowledge by matching the stem word with the right affixe I give a lighthearted anecdote about suffixes to garantee the students engagements into the lesson

I write the stem words on small pieces of papers and write the stem words but before I write on the WB the prefixes and suffixes they have to add to the words written on the paper. I give example and then set time and let students work individually. when time is up, they will be asked to put papers in two different boxes, I mix them up and them ask students to choose other two papers and check whether they are right or not.if not they have then to give the correct word. in the end students will be given the answer key to compare it with theirs.

At this stage I work on concept checking, pronunciation and word stress especially the words they are not used to listen to such as efficient and enthusiastic. in the latter I will work on drilling of the (th) sound and word stress.

students will be given the answer key with adjectives into a context and they are asked to guess their meaning especially those adjectives they find new. I back up their information with the right pronunciation and stress and check their understanding with quick CCQ.

I will ask students to work in pairs and give their opinion, whether they agree or disagree with the statement written on the answer key. after a discussion with a delayed error correction, they willbe required to work in pairs and make a list of which adjectives characterize human beings.

at this stage of the lesson, the way is paved for them to talk of someone they like in their life by using the adjectives they have just learnt or other adjectives they already know. the work is individual by writing two or three sentences on a piece of paper and then they mingle and tell the story to one of his mates. I give example and then let them work . monitor and take some notes of errors they may commit. when they take their seats I put on the WB their errors and ask the rest of the class to spot the mistake. I give FB by the end.
