Description

In this lesson, students will learn about functional language for polite requests through ppp based on a listening activity about problems with machines. The lesson starts with a discussion about a bad day with machines of all kinds. This is followed by some other controlled activities and by a final oral production via a role play activity.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T- shares somes bad experieces lived throughout the day and asks for other examples of a bad day.

Exposure (7-9 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T. plays an audio with four situations. Asks students to identify what kind of problems each of the speakers talked about. Controlled Practice (5-7 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T shows 4 multiple choice activity, nominates students for answers. And uses the answers as a model for the following ativity. Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
