Description

In this session students will learn some new vocabulary related to the listening part and also they have to discuss about the topic which is about movies and books. The lesson start with a discussion about movies and then they will listen to a audio about books and after that they have to answer some questions. They are two other audios that they have to listen to. Finally they will have another discussion in small groups and then the class will be finished.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this warm up activity to activate the class at the start of the session and engage the students attention in the topic of the lesson witch is about movies and books first I have to ask some questions about topic so students can discuss the question in class and tell their opinion. Also I will write a list of books and movies and ask them which of them do they know? and which are both a book and a movie? Questions: What was the last movie that you saw or book that you read? Would you recommend it? Why/Why not?

listening #1 (7-10 minutes) • cover the first listening and discussion

In this part I have to pre teach some new vocabulary to my students to help them understand the audio better. Words: witty, interaction, superhero, impending doom, fast paced, troubling, pioneering, atmosphere, curator, puzzle, cliffhanger I'll tell them about the topic of listening. Then I'll put my students into small groups and I will ask them to listen to find the answer for questions. questions: which do they talk about? how do you know? And then I will play the audio for them pausing at the end of each speaker to allow students take notes . I'll play it twice if it was necessary. Then I want them to talk about their answers Finally I will check their answers and correct their problems.

listening #2 & #3 (15-20 minutes) • to cover other listening parts

As I did for the first listening, I'll pre-teach them new vocabs then I want them to read questions and then I'll play the audio for them After it finished I want them to check their answers in pair and then I will tell them the answers. Also I won't forget error correction

Post-Listening (speaking) (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I'll put students in small groups and I want them to read and answer the questions in their group. I'll monitor them and at the and I'll correct their errors if needed.
