Pre-teach vocabulary (6-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T will give Ss a matching HO including visuals and tell Ss work in pairs to match the visuals with the correct words. The word definitions will also be projected on the Wb via PPT to help Ss understand them faster and easily. T will provide WCFB via PPT and drill

While-Reading #1 (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist reading

T will introduce the reading text and give clear instructions for gist reading T will ask ICQs and then Ss will skim the text for 2 min. Then Ss will work in pairs and match the subtitles for each paragraph. Each group will match one of the subtitles and WCFB including justifications

While-Reading #2 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students practice on reading for specific information

While-Reading #3 (12-15 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed listening tasks

T will give Ss detailed reading HO that will also be projected on the WB via PPT and tell them to read the text and do the task alone , first. Then, Ss will check their answers as a group together with a discussion about their justifications T will ask a member from each group to run to the WB and mark T/F for one claim. WCFB including justifications

Post-Reading - Freer speaking activity (6-8 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to develop oral fluency on what they've learned

T will give each group a speaking card and tell them to have a discussion as a group by using modal verbs properly for whatever is asked on the card. e.g (task on the card) To be a good citizen, you (must/have to/mustn't/don't have to)......... Ss will be supposed to tell at least one sentence as a feedback The lesson will end by Error correction session.
