Warmer/Lead-in (3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T asks Ss : - Read the quotation in the orange box and discuss the 3 questions in act 1 in pair. - open page 6 T asks Ss about their opinion about the last question briefly without further explanation.

Pre-Reading (gist) (2 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T checks with the whole class the meaning of the following vocab: get inspiration perform set your goals high

While-Reading ( gist) (3-4 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks

T asks Ss : -Read the 5 phrases or secrets of success in act 2 - write them in the correct place in the text - Next, Read the text quickly .. you have from 2 to 3 min ICQ: Are you going to focus on the details or read quickly? - quickly and you have ...... ( 3 min).. T asks Ss to get to page 6 act 2 T asks Ss to check in pair before with the WC

While-Reading ( detailes) (5-6 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading tasks

T tells Ss: - Now, go to act 3 and tick question 1/3/4/5/7 - Read the questions - Then, read the text again and underline the answers ICQs: Are you going to write the answer or underline? Are you going to do all? On;y number ..... (1/3/4/5/7) T asks Ss to check in pair before with the WC.

Post-Reading (speaking practice) (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T tells Ss: - Discuss the questions with your partner on the left hand - Then, decide together in the end what is the most important key of the 5 and why ICQ: Are you going to write the answers or speak? Are you going to choose together one key or more?

Feedback (3 minutes) • To praise good use of TL and to correct errors in TL use

T listens to the answers of the Ss T praises the good ideas and language T corrects the most important common errors
