Description

In this lesson the student is going to learn about greeting, numbers, weekdays and to be verbs ( I and you).

Main Aims

  • The student is going to learn greeting (name and age) and he is also going to learn to be verbs.

Subsidiary Aims

  • He is going to learn new vocabs

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The teacher is going to talk about how the class will go on, the book and the exams etc.

Highlighting (10-15 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

The teacher is going to play the listening for the first time then she will play it again and the student is going to repeat the conversation then they are going to practice the reading in pairs.

Clarification (15-25 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

the teacher is going to teach to be verb grammar and the student is going to do exercises related to the grammar. then the teacher is going to teach vocabulary.

Controlled Practice (10-15 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The student is going to do different exercise parts related to vocabulary.

Free Practice (5-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The student is going to do the listening part in word and phrases part, then they are going to have a conversation related to the lesson.
