Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- Teacher shows students a map of a town with some common places (a hospital, supermarket, etc.) and gives students a series of questions (Is there a hospital? Is there a cinema? Where is the supermarket?). - Teacher puts students in groups to answer the questions. - Students go to breakout rooms and asnwer the questions, then, when the time is up, they return to the main session. - Teacher performs OCFB.

Text-work (3-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Teacher shows students some sentences of a conversation in an incorrect order. Students have to listen to the audio to put the conversation in the right order. Teacher plays the audio twice while students answer individually. Teacher puts students in groups to check the answers and sends them to breakout rooms. Students check the answers and return to the main room. Teacher performs OCFB

Language clarification (8-12 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Meaning - Teacher will show students some sentences where the TL is being used and elicit the meaning with CCQs. Afterwards he will do a little matching activity with the students. Form - Teacher will give students some sentences with the TL and ask them to put them in the correct group (asking for directions, giving directions, etc.) - Students check their answers in groups - Teacher gives the correct answers Pronunciation - Teacher will show some example sentences with the TL and drill the correct pronunciation of the TL

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

- Teacher shares with students a Google form where they have to answer an exercise - Students have to individually answer a fill-in the blanks exercise - Teacher puts students in group to check their answers in groups - Students come back to the main session - Teacher performs OCFB

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

- Teacher gives students a map with different locations - Teacher separates students in pairs and assign each student a role - Students do a roleplay where one has to ask for the directions for a place in the map and the other has to give them. - Students switch the roles once they finish the first time. - Students finish and return to the main session

DEC (Delayed Error Correction) (3-5 minutes) • To correct any mistakes the leaner might have committed in the previous stages

- Teacher proceeds to give feedback of the previous stage - Teacher corrects mistakes the students comitted on previous stages
