Procedure

Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Show students pictures of of Kari Matchett and ask them to discuss what they think her job is. (2 minutes) CCQ: Will you work in groups? Yes. Will you speak in English? Yes. Whole class feedback to share ideas. (1-2 minutes) EQ: What is her job? EQ: Is she a busy woman?

Exposure (7-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Students to discuss their predictions for when TV actors do certain parts of their daily routine. (1 minute) Students are to read the text and answers the questions on the google form. I will ask students not to submit the form so that they can see their answers. (2 minutes) CCQ: Will you write your answers on the google form? Yes. Will you submit the form? No. After writing their answers, they will compare their answers with each other. (2 minutes) CCQ: Will you share your answers? Yes. Will you speak in Spanish? No, you will speak in English. After that, we will have whole class feedback, answering a new form together on screen. ( 2 minutes) Answers: 1. 4.30 2. 6.15 3. 7.00 4. 1.00

Highlighting (3-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Clarification (9-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Meaning After circling the verb activity, check meaning. (2 minutes) CCQ: When are these actions happening? In the past, present or future tense? Present. Can the present tense be used to demonstrate routine? Yes. Form Analyse the form of questions by putting the words in the correct boxes. Google slides (2 minutes) Whole class feedback: put the form in order together on the slides. (2 minutes) FCQ: Student A: Which comes first? Auxiliary, subject, question word or infinitive? A: Question word Student B: Which comes first? Auxiliary, subject, question word or infinitive? A: Auxuiliary Student C: Which comes first? Auxiliary, subject, question word or infinitive? Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
