To introduce and provide practice of writing a postcard.
To provide clarification of the present perfect and future going to in the context of travel experiences
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Teacher engages students in the topic of Postcards, showing a picture and developing a speaking time in peers.
Students do a task to identify the parts of postcards, using jamboard; followed by an activity in which grammar tenses are introduced in the content of postcard text. After that Ss do a questionnaire in google form, in order to infer the meaning of some expressions considering present perfect and future going to and compare their answers in BOR. Teache provides feedback.
Teacher provides Ss some examples to organise postcard´s structure and clarifies how to write it, considering grammar tenses. ( Meaning, CCQs, form and pronunciantion) followed by practice with learners.
Students write a postcard about a beautiful city they have visited before, considering the previous clarification and some tips related to the context. For this task, Ss use Google document, in order teacher can monitor all students at the same time.
After writing their postcards. Teacher develop the feedback, considering each student´s writing and finish the session with DEC.
