Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- project ppt slide 1 to show the picture and asks ss to discuss with their partners about what picture tells us and how important internet is in our lives. - ask ss to go to page 32 and complete ex. a first alone. - ask ss to discuss how they use internet in their daily life with their partners What can you see in the picture? What does picture tell us? How important is internet in our lives? How do you use internet?

Pre-Reading (1-3 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and unblock the keywords

- project ppt slide 2 and ask ss to match the vocabulary with the images. - ask ss to discuss the answers with their partners - Whole-class feedback

While-Reading (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks

-ask ss to skim the first part of the reading text and complete ex. c on page 32 individually. - ask ss to compare their answers with their partners. - Whole-class feedback Is the blog about .................? What is unusual about Walker Family?

While-Reading #2 (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading tasks

-ask ss to read for details this time and complete ex. d individually. - ask ss to compare their answers with their partners. - Whole-class feedback

While-Reading #3 (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed reading tasks

- give ss HO and ask them read the text again and complete the exercise individually - ask ss to discuss their answers together with their partners. - Whole-class feedback

Post-Reading (8-11 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

-before they start speaking, review some vocabulary about technology on page 32 Vocabulary ex. a and b shortly. - ask ss to match the images with the correct word individually. -ask ss to compare their answers with their partners. - practice stressed syllable in each word with the ss. -ask ss to discuss the sentences in Vocabulary ex. c with their partners. - project ppt slide 3 and ask ss to take some notes about the question and the sentence on the slide before they talk to their partners. - ask ss to discuss their notes with their partners. - Whole-class feedback
