Main Aims

  • To provide clarification in simple present tense in the contexts of my daily routines and some puzzle games.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking and writing practice for Sts through the useful examples.


Warmer/Lead-in (1-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- The teacher starts to talk about his daily routine with the aim of an introduction simple present tense to the students.

Test #1 (4-8 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

- The teacher prepares some papers which are including the subject pronouns and verbs. - The teacher asks Sts to match these papers with each other. - There is a guide in the papers illustrating the correct answers. - He has a wc fb.

Teach (6-10 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

- The teacher teaches the tense with two examples." I get up at 5:00" and "He plays soccer". Concurrently, he also teaches some rules in the spelling. - He shows some examples to Sts as a feed back.

Test #2 (7-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

- The teacher asks Sts to do exercise 1. - There is wc fb. - The teacher hand out his guided discovery and Sts do it for 3 minutes. - On the backside of their chair is the answer key of the test.
