To provide clarification of MFP, and realistic use examples of common phrasal verbs.

Procedure (41-58 minutes)
Greet ss, ask about weekend. Ask if they have ever argued with a friend? Do they look like their parents? Who is someone they admire? OCF.
project book page 9 activity 1. ss have 3-4' to match the verbs to their definitions. peer check + OCF.
Review MFP of phrasal verbs. Show images to accentuate meaning. Highlight preposition in collocations and distinguish between separable and inseparable. Organize vocab section in notebooks: bubble maps by preposition, each with its own color. Ss will be able to add to this throughout the year.
ss do activity 4 on page 5 of workbook alone. peer check + OCF.
Ss work in pairs to write sentences for the other 6 phrasal verbs not worked in test 2. Each student will pick a verb, look on their phone for a photo that describes the verb, and write a sentence based on the photo. Review OCF.
