Description

In this lesson, students learn about future tense (with will). The lesson starts with a story, related to the grammar (as a warmer) and it will be taught through a reading that contains this grammar. After that, there are some questions as controlled practice. And in the free practice they are going to talk about a subject that also contains this grammar too.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (1-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The teacher is going to talk about a story that contains the grammar.

Highlighting (1-3 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

The teacher will write students examples on the board to get the students' attention to the new grammar structure.

Clarification (3-5 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

The teacher gives the students a reading that contains future with will sentences. They are going to read it and the students will pay attention to the new grammar via reading the text. And the teacher will start teaching it completely.

Controlled Practice (2-4 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The students are going to answer the book's questions and the questions that teacher asks.

Free Practice (0-0 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The students are going to talk about their plans after the English class as a free practice.
