Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask Ss these questions and give them 1-2 minutes to think about these questions: What is the recent story that you have heard or read? What makes this story memorable? After that, we will discuss it together as a whole class.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

I will show the Ss a picture of a well-known story and ask them questions and ask them to discuss it in paris through BORs for 3-4 minutes. After that, we will discuss the answers together.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

I will ask Ss further questions to elicit answers: What does she wear? she wears Where does she go? She walks through the wood. Who does chase her? a wolf Why? he wants to eat her. After each sentence, I will ask Ss to underline the verb, and ask them which tense is this. Present simple tense. After that, I will start asking CCQs to check Ss understanding of the meaning. ٍShe wears a red hooded cloak Is she wearing her red hooded now? No, she is not. Did She wear it in the past? Yes, she did. She walks through the woods. Is she walking through the wood now? No, she is not. Did she walk through the wood in the past? Yes, she did. A stalking wolf wants to eat her. Is he stalking her now? no, he is not. For the pronunciation, I will provide the Ss with a form of the GS and then I will pronounce the following sentences She wears a red hooded cloak. She walks through the woods. A stalking wolf wants to eat her. And then, ask them to underline the stressed words in the sentences. I will provide an oral model for the sentences and ask them to repeat them after me. For the form, I will send the Ss GF so they can decide the correct form of the sentences, they should do it individually and then we discuss the answers together.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

I will give the students WF and ask them to rearrange the incidents of the story and re narrate them using the correct form of verbs, they will work as groups for 7-8 minutes. After they finish their first task, I will ask them to put an end to the story they have arranged, they will work as groups for 12 minutes. While I am monitoring.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

After Ss finish Speaking tasks, I will discuss their arrangements of the incidents and ask them to justify their answer. In the end, I will put their sentences in the WB and ask them to identify and correct with me some errors
