Procedure

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students.

Attracting the students' attention to the lesson by checking their knowledge about car brands and their logos. Then, moving to new vocabulary e.g. clamp/ wheel clamp....etc.

Pre-Listening (7-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

- Presenting the new vocabulary. - setting the context. - Getting the students to write about rules and regulations connected with smoking, driving and flying.

While-Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

- Getting the students to listen individually to 6 persons speaking about annoying rules to note the topic for each complaint.

While-Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

- Listening gain for specific information( this time they listen to match the halves of phrases ).

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

- The students work in groups to speak about complaints they agree with and complaints they don't agree with . - Getting them next to write freely about annoying rules in the place they live in, at work and in their country
