ELEMENTARY level

Description

The main focus Of this lesson is on speaking in the context of free time. Thus, I will start the session by asking the students if they watched the soccer match between Zamalek and Ahly the day before yesterday? Do you think I watch sports on tv? Do you think I play soccer? Then, I will choose one of my colleagues and point at him/her telling students guesses about him/her using the phrases in exercise 8, page 33. Then, I will ask the students to work in pairs and each one to start to guess about his/her partners and give them about 2 minutes, then check if their guesses were right or wrong. Then, I will do exercise 9 on the same page and ask my colleague if my guesses were right. Then, teach the students how to form a question of those phrases and will use the back chain drilling technique with them to train them to pronounce sentences correctly. Finally, if have some time lift, I will write down the mistakes I noticed on the W/B and will correct them. Moreover, students might not know the right meaning of clubbing, so I will explain it by showing them a picture.
