To provide fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of presentation, family, routine, hobbies
The exercise will clarify the things that need to be reviewed.
Procedure (12-30 minutes)
Explain to the student the process of this activity, the questions that will be asked as well as the themes that are expected to be covered/answered.
This is a time for the student to express her doubts on certain themes in order to achieve confidence for the conversation. However, only simple doubts will be clarified and those that are more complex or those that the student has less confidence on will be saved for after the conversation.
The student will start with a presentation of herself (name, age, nationality, place of origin, occupation), then the student will introduce her family in a similar way as she did herself (name, occupation,etc) with the use of possessive adjectives and present simple (a photo can be used to simplify the description), then the student will describe her daily, weekly or monthly routine with vocabulary, adverbs of frequency, "and/but", "can/can't", "would/want". Teacher Prompt Questions: What is your name? How old are you? Where are you from? Who is she? How old is she? What does she do for a living? What's his occupation? Do you travel? Do you exercise? How often do you visit your family? When do you usually eat? Do you work on the weekend? Can you sing? Do you like to dance? Do you usually sleep late? Why do you hate that? Are you good at exercising? What is your favorite activity? Would you want to learn?
